MOREHOUSE - Verbal Lorine Selph, 69, died Nov. 1, 2003, at her home.
Born Sept. 23, 1934, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Elmer and Lucie Bradford Leek, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Morehouse. Before retiring, she had been employed by the International Shoe Factory in Sikeston and was a cook at Missouri Delta Medical Center and the Miner Nursing Center.
She was formerly married to Charles Edward Selph.
Survivors include: three daughters, Sondra Iliff of Matthews and Dianna Clemons and Belinda Marcapura of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Gabrielle Hodgkiss of Morehouse, Michael Douglas Griffith, Leslie Brooks and Matthew Griffith of Memphis, Tenn., and Shea Raspberry of Matthews; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb and Lydia Hodgkiss of Morehouse and Garrett Brooks, Hunter Brooks, Ryan Brooks and Sara Griffith of Memphis.
Preceding her in death were one brother, Charles Darrell Leek; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. John Goss, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Morehouse, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
