Woman killed in hit-and-run

HAYTI - A Hayti woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle whose driver reportedly left the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 3:50 a.m. Monday on Cleveland Street in Hayti when 51-year-old Martha Spain, a pedestrian, was struck by the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
