CHAFFEE - Charles Judson Varble, 83, died at 5:10 a.m. Dec. 7, 2002, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born May 26, 1919, in Chaffee, son of the late Alfred Poe and Fannie Bell Jones Varble, he retired as a clerk for General Services Administration in St. Louis. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the First Baptist Church and VFW Post 3127 in Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Survivors include: one stepdaughter, Regina Curcio of Imperial; one sister, Velma Huey of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. John Marshall, officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Hanlan and Joshua Hanlan.
