SIKESTON -- Thomas H. Stalcup, 79, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Feb. 11, 1923, in Jonesboro, Ark., son of the late Henry J. and Eliza Ellen Griffin Stalcup, he was a truck driver before retiring.

On Nov. 15, 1955, he married Laverne Ballentine who preceded him in death on July 30, 1986.

Survivors include: one son, Keith Manley of Benton, Ark.; two daughters, Jane Crabb of Northeast Maryland and Sheila Riley of Sterling, Va.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Stalcup; one brother, Raymond Stalcup; and one grandson, Adam Manley.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Blankenship, pastor of Eastside Nazarene Church, officiating.

Burial followed in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
