n One man, two women remain in the New Madrid County jail
PORTAGEVILLE - Three persons are in custody following a drug investigation in Portageville.
On Aug. 29, the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force arrested three Portageville residents. Tara L. Couch, 22, was arrested by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol after she delivered approximately three grams of methamphetamine to SEMO Drug Task Force undercover officers.
A continuation of the investigation resulted in a search warrant being served on the residence of Darian and Candice Allen at 411 Sunset St. in Portageville. Officers recovered approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, scales and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Couch is charged with five counts of distribution of methamphetamine and two counts possession of a controlled substance.
Candice Allen, 42, is charged with four counts of distribution of methamphetamine and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
Darian Allen, 37, is charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine.
Warrants were issued Thursday by New Madrid County Prosecuting Attorney Lewis Recker. Bond was set for Couch at $125,000 while Darian Allen's bond was listed at $15,000 and bond for Candice Allen $125,000.
The three remain in the New Madrid County Jail. Their next court is scheduled for Sept. 6.
