KEWANEE - William Marvin Spencer, 84, died May 4, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 24, 1917, at Wyatt, son of the late William Noel and Lily Edith Hankins Spencer, he was an over-the-road truck driver before retiring.
His wife, Pansy Nigel Shaw Spencer, preceded him in death in 1960.
Survivors include: one daughter, Joan Dean of Tool, Texas; two sons, William Harvey Spencer of Lake Worth, Fla., and Glenn Lee Spencer of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Funk and Ann Evans of East Prairie; one brother, George Bennett of Tampa, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Barbara Jean Spencer; one son, Marvin Ray Spencer; and two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Gary Henson, pastor of the New Madrid Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
