Sikeston Standard Democrat: High School Sports: Garrett wins first BassBuster tourney of season (04/14/05)

PARIS LANDING, Ky. -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their first tournament of the year on April 3rd out of Paris Landing Marina on Kentucky Lake.

Ty Garrett won the tournament with two fish weighing 4 lbs. 4 oz. Leven Cox was second with two fish weighing 3 lbs. 15 oz. Charlie Wade took third place and big bass honors with a 3 lb. 6 oz. fish and also won the "Lucky Drawing".

The weather was beautiful but the fish proved to be difficult to catch during the day. The lake was rising quickly and evidently had both the fish and fishermen confused.

The club travels to KenLake Marina on Kentucky Lake for their second tournament of the year on May 1st.
