COLUMBIA -- The Mizzou baseball team moved to 10-4 on the season with a 15-2 win over Illinois State on Wednesday at Taylor Stadium. The Tigers scored in double digits for the eighth time in 13 games this season.
Missouri got the scoring started in the bottom of the second inning scoring four runs on a pair of hits and an error. Sophomores Gary Arndt and Trevor Helms each had RBI hits in the inning to give the Tigers the early 4-0 lead.
MU would add two more runs in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run single by freshman Jacob Priday. Priday was 2-for-5 with four RBI on the day to extend his hitting streak to eight games. The streak is the longest by any Tiger this season.
The Tigers would make it a 10-0 lead with four more runs in the fourth inning, three of the runs coming on a three-run homer by junior James Boone.
