Born April 21, 1935, in Sardis, Tenn., son of the late James Charles and Sarah Lou Hunt Redden, he was a farmer and of the Baptist belief.
On Jan. 6, 1953, at Caruthersville, he married Sarah Glenda Hopkins who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Terry Neal Redden and Tracey Lee Redden of Clarkton and Larry Keith Redden of Miner; three daughters, Paula Annette Skaggs of Greenville, Sara Jeanette Perkins of Sikeston and Tammy Juanita Newton of Benton; two sisters, Eartie Ash of Clarkton and Frankie Gains of Hayti; two brothers, Elco Redden of Clarkton and Lawson Redden of Marston; and 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jack Allen will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
