East Prairie man arrested

Monday, March 14, 2005

EAST PRAIRIE - An 18-year-old East Prairie man was arrested on felony charges by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Captain Ronald K. Replogle, director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, said a criminal investigation was conducted by investigators resulting in the arrest of Jeremy Warren Friday. He is charged with first degree tampering, felony property damage and motor vehicle theft.

Charges are to be filed in both Scott and Mississippi counties. He is currently being held in the Mississippi County Jail without bond on unrelated charges.

Warren was arrested as a result of three individual leaving the scene accident investigations, which occurred in the East Prarie and Sikeston areas earlier this month. Warrants in connection with these charges have also been issued on an East Prairie juvenile who is being sought by authorities at this time.

The above arrest is a mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the arrest must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence
