Born May 15, 1910, in Golden, Miss., daughter of the late Charlie and Dela Sue Cagle, she was a chef for 55 years in Kennett before she retired. She was a former member of the Mid Rivers Baptist Church in St. Peters and a current member of Lilbourn General Baptist Church.
Her husband, James A. Carter, preceded her in death.
She was also preceded by: one son, James L. Carter; and one daughter, Betty Jean Holland.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Betty Jo Carter of Rector, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Richard Bush of Marston; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, where services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
