Jesse Kirk
FISK -- Jesse F. Kirk, 89, died March 14, 2005 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born April 22, 1915, in Green County, Ind., son of the late L.C. "Cecil" and Anna Kirk, he had lived in Fisk since 1941. He was a member of the Fisk Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and had served on the Fisk-
Rombauer School board as well as serving as the mayor of Fisk. He was a member of the Odd Fellow's Lodge in Poplar Bluff and was retired from Missouri Petroleum Products after working in road construction.
On Aug. 24, 1935, at Delta, he married Lillian Moore.
He is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse B. and Carol Kirk of Sikeston and Wilbur and Brenda Kirk of Cape Girardeau; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Colleen Riepe of Fisk, Darlene and Melvin Lewis of Fisk and Loretta and Bruce Yarbro of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Lindabel Schall of Broseley and Lula Mae and Bob Gallamore of Fairdealing; 10 grandchildren; eight great-granchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Dessie Thomas.
Friends may call today at 6 p.m. at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Wendy Downing and Rev. Gene Riddle officiating.
Burial will follow at Brown Chapel Cemetery.
