SIKESTON - An A-I-A priority rating has been given by the War Production Board in construction of Missouri Delta Community Hospital, north of Sikeston on Highway 61.

NASHVILLE - Charles D. Matthews IV of Sikeston, Mo., currently a student at Vanderbilt Law School, has been tapped as candidate for the editorial board of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He is the son of Mrs. Dorothy L. Matthews of Sikeston. A 1951 graduate of Sikeston High School, he graduated in 1955 from the University of Missouri. Matthews also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.

DEXTER - Rhonda Cooper reigned as Dexter High School's Fall Homecoming Queen Friday night. First runner-up was Erin Wamble and second runner-up was Rhonda Tucker.

NEW MADRID - Rica Denise Wolf, daughter of Forest Ann DeLisle Bell of Portageville, was selected Miss American Legion during the New Madrid American Legion Post's annual fall festival. Seanica Howe of Qulin, daughter of Johnny and Rhonda Howe, was named first runner-up. Cynthia Lee Barnett of Sikeston was named second runner-up. She is the daughter of David Barnett and Sandra Mock.


SIKESTON - Terry and Tammy Sloan are the parents of their third son, Trey Michael Sloan, who was born Oct. 1, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
