CHARLESTON - Annie Lee Taylor, 74, died Sept. 27, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Iuka, Miss., daughter of the late Charles and Climmie Aushbrooks Johnson Sr., she lived in Chicago Heights, Ill., where she was employed as a housekeeper until retiring and returned to Charleston in 2001. She was a member of the Union Evangelistic Baptist Church in Chicago Heights, where she served on the Usher Board.
Her husband, Alvin Taylor, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two brothers, Bobby Johnson of Charleston and Fred Johnson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles E. Johnson; and a special friend, Samuel L. Handy.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at noon at Sparks Funeral Home. The Rev. J.R. Flint Jr. of Chicago Heights will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
