SIKESTON - Florence Pauline Kelley, 94, died March 7, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Nov. 24, 1910, in Vanduser, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Louise Schuerenberg Martin. A longtime member of the Matthews Church of Christ, she attended Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. She graduated as valedictorian in 1929 from Kewanee High School, where she was an outstanding forward and captain of her basketball team.

In January 1940, she married A.N. "Ted" Kelley who preceded her in death on April 21, 1987.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Juanita Calvert of Arlington, Texas, and Jerry W. and Wanda Kelley of Sikeston; three daughters and sons-in-law, Myrtle L. and Larry Kellett, Emma J. and Bobby Patterson and Betty S. and Johnny McMillen of Sikeston; one sister, Lucille Parks of New Madrid; two sisters-in-law, Dean Cruse and Glenda Kelley of Morehouse; and 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one brother, Charles L. "Buddy" Martin and one sister, Emma Crisler.

Pauline was a dedicated wife, mother and nurturing grandmother.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. Johnny Hester and Pat Hogan, ministers with Shady Acres Church of Christ, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Pak Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Darin Kellett, Terry Kellett, Steve Turnbow, Bruce Harford, John Weiland, Matt Petty and Joseph Marcum.

Honorary pallbearers will be Teddy Kelley, Todd Vanover, Sandy Turnbow, Jamie Harford, Joy Weiland, Jan Petty, Danie Vanover and Susan Marcum.
