Born July 28, 1946, in Bloomfield, son of the late Chester and Catharine Mossman Corbin, he was a lifelong resident of the Bloomfield area. A member of St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia, he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked for Elder Manufacturing for several years and was later a maintenance worker for McDonald's in Dexter.
On June 27, 1969, he married Carolyn Wilburn who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jonathan Corbin and Adam Corbin of Bloomfield; one daughter, Amy Corbin of Bloomfield; one brother, Sherrill Corbin of Dexter; two sisters, Sharon Wilburn of Kilgore, Texas, and Barbara Razor of Tallapoosa; and three grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Cooper will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
