Eight arrested on drug charges

CARUTHERSVILLE - Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell reported the arrests of eight individuals when warrants were served Friday by members of the Bootheel Drug Task Force.

According to Greenwell, the warrants were the result of an ongoing investigation by the sheriff's department and task force. Also working on the investigation were deputies with the Pemiscot County Sheriff's office and officers with the Hayti and Caruthersville police departments.

Christopher Roberts, 20, of Caruthersville, was charged with two counts of possession and sales of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Bond is set at $100,000.

Kimberly Hunt, 25, of Caruthersville was charged with one count of possession and sales of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Her bond is $50,000.

Orville Beatty Jr., 54, of Caruthersville was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). His bond is set at $10,000.

Tammy Alexander, 34, of Hayti, was charged with two counts of possession and sale of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Her bond is $50,000.

Tommy Hooker, 32, of Hayti was charged with possession and sale of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and his bond is $25,000.

Raymond Wimberly, 67, of Caruthersville, was charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance (hydrocodone) with bond set at $50,000.

Imogene Wimberly, 62, of Caruthersville, was charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance (hydrocodone). Her bond is $25,000.

Carl Barnard, 38, of Gideon was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). His bond is $25,000.

All individuals are being held in the Pemiscot County Justice Center. More suspects are being sought and more arrests are expected as a result of this ongoing investigation.
