Betty Hankston

PORTAGEVILLE - Betty Gean Hankston, 57, died Nov. 20, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 19, 1947, in Osceola, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Dauie and Mary Croump Jacobs.

Survivors include: five daughters, Marilyn Hankston of New Madrid, Peggy Caldwell of Clarkton, Kinyinnia Stevenson of Cape Girardeau and Lorrine King and Elaine Hankston of Portageville; three sons, Eldon McAdory of Minneapolis, Bud King of Nebraska and Morris Reed of Portageville; two brothers, David Jacobs of Portageville and Robert Jacobs of Malden; two sisters, Dorothy Johnes and Fern Williams of Portageville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Bud Jones of Portageville.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Portageville with the Rev. Earnest Willis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
