Born Oct. 9, 1948, in Topeka, Kan., daughter of the late Jessie James and Pearl Marie McCormick Smith, she was of the Catholic belief and was a caregiver for senior citizens.
Survivors include: three aunts, Dottie Rendville of Santa Cruz, Calif., Melba Gaddy of Greenboro, N.C., and Goldie Hogue of Vero Beach, Fla.; and a special friend, Gene Gadberry of Des Arc and formerly of Dexter.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon Wednesday at the Dexter Cemetery with the Rev. David Dohogne officiating.
