SIKESTON - The Scott County Chapter of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis has awarded a scholarship to Dr. E.J. Neinstedt of Sikeston for the study of the Kenny Treatment for Infantile Paralysis at the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis.

SIKESTON - Cpl. Fred Mainard has been transferred from Camp Tyson, Tenn., to Camp Maxey, Texas.

MOREHOUSE - The new minister, Rev. James Estep, was appointed to replace the Rev. Charles Carr as pastor of the Rauch-Spence Memorial Methodist Church in Morehouse.

SIKESTON - Miss Kathy Old has been elected treasurer at the 23rd session of Missouri Girls State on the campus of Stephens College.

SIKESTON - A delay in the refurbishing of two Welcome to Sikeston signs located on I-55 and a financial report on the recent Springfest were two of the items discussed at Monday night's meeting of the Sikeston Development Council.

CHAFFEE - Glenda Blue of Chaffee won a new 1994 GMC Sonoma from SEMO Motor Company when her name was drawn by KZ-106 representatives recently at the Riverfest in Cape Girardeau. Through advertisements sold by KZ-106 CD Country, this new truck was bought to be given away.
