Born Feb. 8, 1924, in Blodgett, son of the late Howard Edward and Annie Laura Owensby Levan, he was a projectionist for the McCutchens Theater in Blytheville, Ark., for 24 years before retiring in 1985. After retirement, he performed a variety of other jobs.
Surviving are his sister, Ruby Baker of East Prairie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Bond and Thelma Hobbs; and his brother, Joseph Levan.
Graveside visitation and services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Marks Mortuary of Wood River, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
