Born Aug. 10, 1911, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late William Washington and Hattie Elizabeth McPheeters Hodge, she lived most of her life in Puxico where she was a member of the First Christian Church.
On Nov. 29, 1927, in Bloomfield, she married Carlos Delbert Potter who preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1988.
Survivors include: one son, Henry Delbert Potter of Overland; one daughter, Wanda Ruth Sommers of Roxana, Ill.; and nine grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Lea Crenshaw on Oct. 8, 1990; and one grandchild, one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. David Rusch of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
