SIKESTON - Clayton D. Bohannon, 77, died at 9:38 a.m. Oct. 24, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Sikeston, son of the late William Lee and Iva Mae Gray Bohannon Sr., he was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Bo's Bar-B-Q in Sikeston for 33 years, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post 114 and the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce.
On Jan. 20, 1951, in Blodgett, he married Ruby Graham who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Julie Bohannon of Sikeston; one daughter, Beverly Colley of Sikeston; four brothers, Roy Gene Bohannon of Decatur, Ill., Don Bohannon of Kenner, La., the Rev. Dr. Glen Bohannon of Sneads Ferry, N.C., and Larry Bohannon of Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters, Mabel Merrick of Sikeston and Dorothy Moore of Hartford, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Brittney Bohannon, Blair Bohannon, Ross Bohannon, Celeste Colley and Kate Colley of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald Bohannon, John Bohannon, W.L. "Bill" Bohannon and J.L. Bohannon; and two sisters, Iva Mae Laub and Norma Pratt.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. William F. Koch, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
