ORAN - Rosa Mae Curtis, 69, died at 8:51 p.m. Aug. 31, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 25, 1932, in Gideon, daughter of the late Henry and Ella Kellum Brown, she retired as a licensed practical nurse for the Chaffee Nursing Center. She was a member of Hooe Baptist Church near Oran.
Her husband, Clyde Curtis Sr., survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Clyde Curtis Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Melvin Curtis of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Karla Seyer of Austin, Texas, Barbara Heisserer of Indianapolis, Ind., and Susan Martin of Waynesville; one sister, Lucille Stidham of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Hooe Baptist Church where the Rev. Jack Bishop and the Rev. J.D. McCord will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
