Katie Krieger

SCOTT CITY - Laura Catherine "Katie" Krieger, 93, died at 8 p.m. Sept. 27, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 19, 1908, in Illmo, daughter of the late Frank and Laura J. Moore Hopke, she was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church.

On Nov. 9, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill., she married Alfred William Krieger who preceded her in death on May 20, 1971.

Survivors include: two daughters, Velma Jane August and Mary Lee Holder of Scott City; and five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Five brothers, one sister and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Eisleben Lutheran Church.

Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
