EAST PRAIRIE - Jean Blasingain, 67, died at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 6, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center, following an extended illness.
Born May 3, 1937, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Clara Manning Poe.
On Aug. 25, 1951, she married Robert Louis Blasingain who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: six daughters, JoAnn Laster of Atlanta, Ga., Joan Brooks of Dacula, Ga., Margie Morgan of St. Louis, Kay Keen of East Prairie, Tammy Cain of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Rhonda Castleberry of Altha, Fla.; one son, Steve Blasingain of East Prairie; two brothers, Chester Poe of Anniston and Hillis Poe of East Prairie; one sister, Flora Carrie of Cuba, Mo.; and 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Five sisters, one brother and one grandson preceded her in death.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Nathan Blagg, officiating.
Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
