EAST PRAIRIE -- Clyde G. Copeland, 93, died Oct. 26, 2001, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 25, 1908, in Union, son of the late John and Clara Huber Copeland, he had lived in East Prairie for the last 10 years after moving from St. Louis where he was a retired owner-operator of a television repair business for 52 years.
In 1960, at East St. Louis, Ill., he married Ruth Davis Copeland, who preceded him in death on March 9, 1994.
Survivors include: one stepson, John Brown of Wappapello; four stepdaughters, Sharon Faith of California, Daphine Norgaard of Glendale, Ariz., Geraldine Thomas of Bureau, Ill. and Jean Kieffer of Ballwin; one brother and sister-in-law, Alonzo and Katy Davis of East Prairie; and by 18 step-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. David Dowdy, pastor of the St. James General Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
