DELTA - John C. "Muck" James, 75, died Sept. 17, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 15, 1926, at Hurricane Fork, son of the late Henry and Annie Francis James, he was a mechanic for McDonald Concrete in Cape Girardeau. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was of the Baptist belief.
On July 16, 1949, at Piggott, Ark., he married Nellie Mae Wilfong who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Mary Schott of Perkins, Janet DeBrock of Leopold and Linda James of Morley; two brothers, Charles James of Chaffee and Hadley James of Arbor; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jesse Long officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dongola Cemetery.
