NEW MADRID -- Linda Hobbs Thurman, 63, died at Feb. 11, 2008, at her home.
Born Nov. 11, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Stowell and Louella Hobbs, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid, the New Madrid Country Club and the Ladies Golf Association.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Christopher and Madra Jones of Cape Girardeau; two daughters and one son-in-law, Christy Mechelle Jones of New Madrid and Allison Elizabeth and Joey Causey of New Madrid; four brothers, Bill Hobbs of Oran, Mike Allgier of Portageville, David Allgier of Union City, Tenn., and Stowell Hobbs of Charleston; two sisters, Anna Jane Crockett of New Madrid and Kaki Long of Portageville; and a special friend, Kenny Davis of New Madrid.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Hobbs, and one sister, Daisy Hobbs.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid with Randy Tochtrop officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
