CHARLESTON - Elizabeth "Nanny" Mungle, 87, died at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 8, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 27, 1914, in Pemiscot County, daughter of the late Walter L. and Cora D. Groom Reynolds, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was of the Baptist belief.

On Oct. 7, 1940, she married Edward W. Mungle who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1982.

Survivors include: one son, Kendall Mungle of Charleston; one daughter, Carol McCullough of Queen City, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, seven stepgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Stanley Mungle; one daughter, Virginia Long; one brother, Deward Reynolds; and one sister, Elnora French.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Charles Kohlbaker of Bertrand will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Winston Williford, Harvey Washer, Steve Hite, Eddie Shankle, Dewey Reynolds, Harold Bryars and Buddy Marshall.
