BLOOMFIELD - Mariam Eleanor Aslin, 70, died Sept. 8, 2001, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born March 15, 1931, in Bloomfield, daughter of the late Venton and Pearl Parks Martin, she lived most of her life in the Bloomfield area where she was a member of Hills General Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
On March 19, 1949, she married Elvin Aslin who preceded her in death on April 10, 1999.
Survivors include: one son, Kyle Aslin of Bloomfield; five brothers, Wayne Martin of Riverview, Fla., Richard Martin of Bloomfield, Jim Martin of Wayne, Mich., Tom Martin of Little Rock, Ark., and Dean Martin of Plant City, Fla.; one sister, Freida Lee of Dexter; and two grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Aslin; one brother, Elbert Martin; and one grandson, Curtis Aslin.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 1 p.m. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Tom Martin will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
