DEXTER - Herman B. Williamson, 83, died Nov. 2, 2001, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Aug. 17, 1918, in Bloomfield, son of the late Oscar Franklin and Ollie Pry Williamson, he served with the U.S. Navy in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War before retiring and was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 17, 1981, in Dexter, he married Margaret "Marge" Reynolds who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, David Williamson of Winfield, Herman "John" Williamson of Bloomfield and Rick Williamson of Cambridge, N.J.; one daughter, Candy Lynn Williamson of New York; two brothers, Arvel Williamson of Dexter and Kenneth Williamson of Bloomfield; two sisters, Edith Scism of Warrensburg and Oma Matthews of Iuka, Ill.; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and two sisters, Lucille Spangler and Louise Neal.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Dean Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
