Two-vehicle accident reported

PUXICO - A two-vehicle accident resulted in minor injuries to a Zalma resident.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday in Stoddard County, seven miles northeast of Puxico. Jerry L. Lafferty, 43, of Bloomfield was driving north when he turned left into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Mary M. McIntosh, 52, of Gypsy.

Injured was Shirley D. Morgan, 65, of Zalma, who was a passenger in the McIntosh vehicle. Morgan was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
