ESSEX - Harry Glenn Williamson Sr., 82, died Sept. 24, 2001, at his home.
Born May 26, 1919, in Essex, son of the late Harry and Lee Crutcher Williamson, he was a lifelong resident of Essex and retired as a road and dam construction worker. A member of the Essex Methodist Church and Full Gospel Men's Fellowship, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army Air Corps and had been a flight instructor.
On Feb. 25, 1941, in Oak Grove, La., he married China Wanda Lee Crews who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Harry Glenn and Julia Williamson Jr. of Bloomfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Dan Hudgens of Dexter; two brothers, Bill and Estel Williamson of Essex; two sisters, Margy Dopps of Mansfield, Ohio, and Pat Quattlebaum of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Essex Cemetery, where graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. The Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter and the Rev. Ernie Rogers of Poplar Bluff will officiate.
