CARUTHERSVILLE - A stash of drugs and drug paraphernalia discovered at a Pemiscot County residence has led to the arrest of two persons.
At about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, members of the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, Bootheel Drug Task Force and Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a search of a residence near Cottonwood Point, south of Caruthersville. Officers discovered chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, along with a quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
James C. Baker III, 28, and Adrain Crain, 45, the residents of the house, were arrested. They are charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine precursors.
The men are being held in the Pemiscot County jail in lieu of $100,000 each. They are scheduled to return to court at 10 a.m. Oct. 29.
