SIKESTON - Congested conditions in the Bailey School were solved as a result of Tuesday night's school board meeting. There was a rezoning of elementary school areas that will send 35 pupils now attending the school to the South Grade School.

SIKESTON - The City of Sikeston Municipal Utilities will save more than $280,000 under an insurance contract awarded at a special meeting. Mitchell Insurance Company of Sikeston won the contract with a bid of $163,507. The policy primarily covers the Sikeston Power Plant.
