EAST PRAIRIE earned its first victory of the season, beating Scott City 35-14. Sophomore Josh Boyer led the Eagles, rushing for 171 yards on 34 carries. He scored three touchdowns and also had an interception playing defense. Teammate Josh Shoffner had an interception as well, returning it 36-yards for a score. Brad Glenn paced Scott City with 99 yards on 27 carries. East Prairie (1-2) will host Fulton in Week 3, while Scott City (0-3) hosts Brentwood.

CHAFFEE suffered its second loss of the season, falling to Piggott, Ark., 34-13. Jeremy Hahn led the Red Devils in rushing with 147 yards on 29 carries. Quarterback Derek Urhahn threw for 67 yards on 6-of-11 passing. Chaffee (2-1) will travel to Portageville on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game.

KENNETT defeated Pocahontas, Ark., 26-25 with a 28-yard field goal by Billy Palmer. Tyree Goolsby led all rushers with 11 yards on 12 carries, and wideout Dustin Pritchett caught five passes for 77 yards. Quarterback Nathan Baker threw for 180 yards on 10-of-20 passing. The Indians (2-1) will face Sikeston in Week 3.

HAYTI held a shaky 6-0 lead over Crystal City heading into the fourth quarter, but finished the game strong to win 30-0. Demarcus Stewart had 118 yards on 26 carries with a touchdown. Quarterback Matt Morgan threw two TDs and rushed for 66 yards. Hayti was charged with 170 yards in penalties in the game. Hayti (3-0) will travel to Caruthersville this Friday.
