I'd like for you to investigate and find out what the state law says about school violence about weapons. Is a can of mace considered a weapon? Over here in East Prairie, a girl walked in and another girl had a can of mace in her hand. She maced the other girl in the building and started beating her with the can of mace in her face. The girl with the mace only got five days' suspension and the girl who had to defend her life got five days' suspension too. But according to the handbook, the girl who assaulted the other girl should have gotten kicked out of school for 10 days or longer for bringing a weapon into school. So can you tell me if a can of mace is considered a weapon- a very, very dangerous weapon. I'm not the parent of either of these girls. I'm just a concerned parent.

I was in a pizza restaurant here in Sikeston and I will never go there again. The waitresses were very dirty and the kitchen and floors were filthy. They need to clean up their place and clean up their act. I've never seen such a filthy place. It's very unsanitary.

You should call the Scott County Health Department with your complaint.

In response to the "Thanks a lot for dove hunters," if you can't keep your barn in such a condition that the horse can't bust it, then I believe that's your own problem. In response to your deer rifle and that you're a crack shot, it's a good thing you didn't put your address there or I'd be hunting inside your fence.

This is in response to the person looking for Web TV. Why don't you take your stuff to the library and get computer access there? You don't have to have Web TV.

I'm calling about the disappearance of dogs. Most of these dogs are pedigreed. Some are having rewards offered for them and no takers are being taken on the rewards. Something's going on with these dogs. Someone took my dog. He's a 4-year-old Schitzu and has four front lower teeth missing. He's black and white. I find this incredible that in three counties, there are so many missing dogs with pedigrees and nobody is calling for a reward. Not a word. Not a single word. Something's going on here. They took my dog right in front of my face with me standing there looking. I know of at least one other person in the vicinity whose dog they also took. One woman told me they took her dog out of a locked car garage. What's going with these dogs. I would like to know what. My phone number is 683-6613. Any insight you have on this, I would like to hear it because I am angry. I feel like I have been attacked like these people in New York. I was standing there looking. Although I am visually impaired, I don't know if they knew this or not, but I saw their automobile. I didn't realize until they drove off that they had my dog with them.

The animal control in the city of Sikeston should be exactly what it spells, but it isn't. I am a taxpaying resident of Sikeston. For three weeks, I have talked to four different people concerning stray cats in my yard and in the neighborhood. The cats are wild and do not belong to anyone. They have destroyed plants and are tearing up the outdoor carpet on my patio steps. The cats would have to be trapped and I am unable to do this. The animal control suggested I do this and take them to the animal shelter. If no one wants them, put them down and don't let them suffer starvation, which is cruelty to animals. The driver who picks animals up said it is not in the city ordinance for them to pick them up. He also said there are strays all over town. What is animal control for? The City Council committee should vote this service into an ordinance. How are you going to control the stray population of cats if nothing is done? If other people agree, make your comments also in SpeakOut.
