Pigg takes first place in Super Pro

Gary Pigg took first place in Saturday's Super Pro.
SIKESTON - Here are the results from Saturday's Sikeston Drag Strip action.

In the Super Pro, Gary Pigg took first place with a time of 6.283 on a 6.27 dial. He ran 109 mph with a reaction time of .575. Ed Maronay finished second when he dialed 6.54 and ran 6.539 at 104 mph with a .493 reaction time.

In the Pro Class, James Free captured first place when he dialed 5.94 and ran 9.246 at 53 mph. His reaction time was .587. Tony Jacques took second when he dialed 6.35 and ran 6.348 at 105 mph with a reaction time of .479.

In the E.T. Class, Chuck Clay took first when he dialed 6.60 and ran 6.619 at 101 mph. His reaction time was .559. Tommy Nolen took second place when he dialed 8.14 and ran 8.167 at 83 mph. His reaction time was .622.

In the Jr. Dragster Class, Ariel McGowen took first with a 12.10 dial and a 12.053 run. She ran 51.94 mph with a reaction time of .727. Bre Summers took second with a 10.465 run on a 10.41 dial. She ran 61 mph with a reaction time of .395.

Sunday saw the Drag Strip host bike races. In the Street Class, Warren Eldred took first with a 5.992 run on a 6.00 dial.

He ran 120 mph with a .550 reaction time. Jody Lewis finished second when he dialed 7.10 and ran 7.050 at 98 mph. His reaction time was .597.

In the Pro Class, Mike Norris dialed 5.75 and ran 5.850 at 114 mph. His reaction time was .475.

Richard Russell took second when he dialed 6.27 and ran 6.307 at 106 mph. His reaction time was .493.
