Wade Demaree

MALDEN - Wade Demaree, 72, died Sept. 19, 2001, at his home.

Born Feb. 24, 1929, in Malden, son of the late Abraham Otto and Sarah Elizabeth Bunnell Demaree, he was a lifelong resident of Malden. A 1947 graduate of Malden High School, he graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture and served on the Cottonhill Township Board since 1985. He had been a realtor, owned and operated a retail catalog sales merchant and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Malden.

On Sept. 8, 1951, at Detroit, Mich., he married Carol Helene Haines who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mark Halford of Malden; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kerry Demaree of Malden, Dennis and Mary Demaree of Sugarland, Texas, and Jim and Elvia Demaree of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Wilbur Demaree of Marion, Ark.; and 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Three brothers, Chalmer Demaree, Robert Demaree and Billy Demaree, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. Sunday until service time at 4 p.m. at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. The Rev. Dwight Chapman and the Rev. Robert Morgan will officiate.

Burial will follow in Park Cemetery at Malden.
