Lillie Learue

MORLEY - Lillie Jane Learue, 89, died at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 9, 2001, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 1, 1912, in Braggadocio, daughter of the late Elihue and Permelia Vaughn Clayton, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morley.

On March 17, 1927, she married Walter Herman Learue who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1974.

Survivors include: three sons, J.L. Learue of Morley, Walter Herman Learue of Florissant and William Scott Learue of Dexter; one daughter, Nettie McMillan of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one son, three brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Bob Burnes, pastor of House of Prayer General Baptist Church in Grant City, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.

Pallbearers will be: Bob Davis, Mike Learue, Shannon Learue, Charles Roberts, Larry Learue and Brian Witt.
