Eighth graders win

The Sikeston eighth grade girls A team avenged an earlier defeat to Dexter, winning 36-32 on Thursday.

Allison Blurton led Sikeston with 13 points. Whitney McCray followed up with nine points. Sikeston lost the B game 40-17 to Dexter. Tyanna Wiggins led Sikeston with six points while Khassie Patterson had five points. The A team improves to 7-3 while the B team falls to 1-7.

Sikeston will host Jackson on Monday at the Field House starting at 6 p.m.
