Stanley Jamito

SCOTT CITY - Stanley Jamito, 90, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 16, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 8, 1911, in Milwaukee, Wis., he was an elevator operator for the Edgewater Beach Hotel and Lion-Healey Company in Chicago, Ill.

His wife, Nieves Margaret Jamito, preceded him in death in November 1997.

Survivors include: one son, Jeffery J. Jamito of Scott City; one daughter, Gloria Stackman of Honolulu, Hawaii; one brother, Ted Wowacki of Milwaukee; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. Wednesday until time for a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Terry Eades will officiate.
