Fatal traffic accident reported

HAYTI - A Hayti man was fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 10:57 p.m. in Pemiscot County, two miles south of Hayti when a northbound vehicle driven by 35-year-old Charles Cheshire traveled off the left side of the roadway.

Cheshire then over corrected, ran into a ditch on the left side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting him from the vehicle.
