NEW MADRID - Work will move into high speed on the city's proposed new sewer lagoon following overwhelming voter approval of a bond proposal. With more than a 300-vote margin, voters approved the $1.2 million bond issue which will help fund the construction of a new sewage lagoon and other improvements to the sewer system.
