CARBONDALE, Ill. - Catherine Helen Hall Stinson, 81, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Nov. 5, 2001, at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Feb. 22, 1920, in Amorel, Ark., daughter of the late Samuel Bruner and Sarah Hattie Scifres Adkisson, she was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.
She was first married to John Henry Hall who preceded her in death on April 9, 1994.
On March 15, 1977, she married George LeRoy Stinson who died March 28, 1998.
Survivors include: two sons, Johnny Hall of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Terry Hall of Mulkeytown; one daughter, Kathy S. Keeton of Tallahassee, Fla.; two stepsons, Ale Stinson of Kewanee, Mo., and Richard Stinson of Catron, Mo.; four stepdaughters, Reta Taylor of Diehlstadt, Mo., Violet Woods of Lilbourn, Mo., Kay Harris of Wyatt, Mo., and Carol Bradum of Dixon, Mo.; two sisters, Irene Walker of Tulsa, Okla., and Evelyn Ballard of Pomona, Calif.; and six grandchildren, 14 stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 18 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Larry Smith, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Cedric Woods, Nathan Woods, Jerome Woods, Brad Woods, Craig Keeton and Randy Redding.
