Evelyn Fordyce

SCOTT CITY - Evelyn B. Fordyce, 70, died at 6:50 a.m. Jan. 7, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 28, 1931, in Fredericktown, daughter of the late Jessie and Mattie Buchanan Faircloth, she was a homemaker and a member of the Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.

On Feb. 11, 1952, she married Ray Fordyce who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1966.

Survivors include: two daughters, Ava J

ones of Creal Springs, Ill., and Jackie Camp of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Private funeral services are planned.
