WICHITA, Kan. - Susan Taliaferro Johnson Brannock, 86, formerly of the southeast Missouri area, died Jan. 12, 2002, at her daughter's home, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 17, 1915, in Tahlequah, Okla., daughter of the late Eugene Lee and Mary Veronica Sullivan Johnson, she graduated from Lindenwood College for Women in St. Charles, Mo., was active in the Democratic Party and was a supporter of human rights and animal welfare.
Her husband, William Robert Brannock, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Lee Lunde of Fredonia, N.Y., Susan Brannock Baade of Wichita and Bebe Kushner of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One sister, Mary Lee Johnson Koewing, also preceded her in death.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
