CHARLESTON - William David McCormick, 95, died at 3:20 p.m. Jan. 26, 2002, at the Charleston Manor.
Born Feb. 4, 1906, in Paris, Tenn., son of the late Fonzie and Mary Ann Mayhew McCormick, he lived in Charleston most of his life where he was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Coon Hunters Association and owned and operated McCormick's Barber Shop until his retirement.
In 1926, he married Catherine Chamberlain who survives of the home.
One daughter, Janet McCormick Weakley, also preceded him in death.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jeannie Bernal of Leon, GTO, Mexico; and 10 grandchildren, Christina Pohls, Cynthia Aguirre, Elizabeth Villalobos, Patricia Aguirre, Veronica Hernadez, Humberto Bernal, Marco Antonio Bernal and Miguel Angel Bernal of Leon, GTO and Kevin Weakley of Eldon and Kathy Weakley Shy of Jackson.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home. where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Richard Combs of Jackson, officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Weakley, Kevin Weakley, Henry Coffer, David Brewer, Charles Brink and Don Robertson.
