MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Ruby Morris Lankford, 89, died July 4, 2004, at the Primacy Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis.
Born July 24, 1914, in Omaha, Ill., daughter of the late Clifford K. and Lily Davis Morris, she was a member of the Memphis Horticultural Society and Memphis Wildflower Society. A photographer, she and her husband owned the Hartsook Studio in Oakland, Calif., before retiring.
On April 21, 1935, she married Arvel Lankford who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jane Lankford of Memphis; two brothers, Edgar Morris of Mobile, Ala., and Dr. David Morris of Sikeston, Mo.; and one sister, Pearl DeBoard of Bethalto, Ill.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Armer Cemetery in Bertrand, Mo. The Rev. Harold Norton, senior adult minister at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, will officiate, assisted by her brother, Dr. David Morris, who will give the eulogy.
